Dengue hemorrhagic fever vulnerability assessment in Gorontalo Regency using analytic hierarchy process and geoinformation techniques

چکیده
One method of reducing the spread dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is to provide a map DHF-prone locations based on spatial analysis. The major way prevent DHF manage and control its vector by focussing specific regions localisation removing appropriate breeding circumstances. Spatial analysis can detect clusters that are larger than expected underlying data. This research aimed identify vulnerability zones many parameters within scope analytical hierarchy geographical information systems (GIS). We found consistency ratio 0.079 for analytic process (AHP) factor weights was judged be satisfactory. population density, distance road, health facilities were shown most relevant factors in determining vulnerability. Gorontalo Regency dominated low classes with an area 139,493.5 ha or 65.08% total area. GIS-AHP could used assess transmissible zonation, which would aid improving surveillance strategies other vector-borne diseases order encourage prevention actions.

Assessment of dengue hemorrhagic fever in Myanmar.
This study assesses the burden of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) and effectiveness of an intervention package in Myanmar. Disability adjusted life years (DALYs) lost for fatal and non-fatal DHF cases and DALYs averted due to intervention for DHF from 1970-1997 were estimated. The data are based on reported cases and deaths from DHF extracted from annual reports of the Myanmar vector borne disea...
متن کاملDengue and dengue hemorrhagic fever.
Continued geographic expansion of dengue viruses and their mosquito vectors has seen the magnitude and frequency of epidemic dengue/dengue hemorrhagic fever (DF/DHF) increase dramatically. More than 200,000,000 infections and over 2 million cases of DHF occur annually, and dengue is one of the most important emerging tropical diseases in the world. Its dramatically increased incidence and geogr...
متن کاملDengue and dengue hemorrhagic fever.
Dengue fever, a very old disease, has reemerged in the past 20 years with an expanded geographic distribution of both the viruses and the mosquito vectors, increased epidemic activity, the development of hyperendemicity (the cocirculation of multiple serotypes), and the emergence of dengue hemorrhagic fever in new geographic regions. In 1998 this mosquito-borne disease is the most important tro...
متن کاملDengue Fever and Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever in Adults.
Dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever are re-emerging diseases that are endemic in the Tropics. The global prevalence of dengue cases has increased in South-East Asia, Africa, the Western Pacific, and the Americas. The increasingly widespread distribution and the rising incidence of dengue virus infections are related to increased distribution of Aedes aegypti, an increasingly urban populat...
